Back to school mornings are here! How do feel about it? Excited for the routine, or wishing the slower summer mornings were still here?

It is so bittersweet, but I am so happy to be back to my early morning workouts!

My morning routine seriously impacts my mindset for the day! BUT- it wasn’t always like this! It took time to really get into a routine, and figure out what worked for our family! If you don’t have a routine and you want one- start with 5 or 10 minutes earlier. Don’t overwhelm yourself by trying to do it all in one day!

Here are a few tips that help me get up and start on the right foot!

Set your alarm somewhere where you have to physically get out of bed to turn it off. I leave mine in our bathroom.

Have your favorite cozy blanket and devotional ready to go, and your favorite candle on standby!

When that alarm dings, I want you to countdown 5-4-3-2-1, and then get your booty up!

Make yourself a pitcher of infused water to help you get rehydrated 

I love the slower summer mornings but balancing working from home with kids and all of the things has also been a challenge!

Like any habit, it takes time to establish. Your routine will look different than mine, but take what applies to you, and create your own. Start with 5 minutes earlier, set your alarm somewhere in the room you have to get up to turn it off, and prepare for the morning the night before.
