
Honey Garlic Chicken is the perfect recipe for busy days when you crave something flavorful and comforting! With tender, shredded chicken coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, this dish is a crowd-pleaser. The slow cooker does all the work—just toss in your ingredients, set the timer, and let the magic happen. Serve over brown rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice, and finish it off with a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds, chopped green onions, and steamed broccoli for a complete, healthy meal. Honey Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
For Serving:
- Prepared brown rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice
- Toasted sesame seeds
- Chopped green onion
- Steamed broccoli
Directions:
- Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Place the chicken in the bottom of a 6-quart or larger slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a medium mixing bowl whisk together the soy sauce, honey, tomato paste, garlic, bouillon cube, and rice vinegar . Pour over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or on high for 2 hours (chicken needs to reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer).
- Remove the chicken and shred. I prefer using my kitchen aid mixer. Use the flat beater, and speed 2 until for about a minute.
- Whisk the cornstarch into the slow cooker cooking liquid along with the chicken. Cover and cook on HIGH for 15 minutes, until the sauce thickens
