These BBQ Chicken Bombs are the ultimate football party snack – crispy golden biscuits filled with saucy chicken and melty cheese, brushed with buttery garlic seasoning for the perfect finish. Whether you make them full-size or bite-sized, they’ll be gone before halftime!
BBQ Chicken Bombs
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (plus extra for dipping)
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar or Colby Jack cheese
- 2 (16 oz) cans refrigerated biscuit dough (8 count each)
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Optional garnish: parsley or green onion
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine chicken, BBQ sauce, and shredded cheese.
- Separate biscuit dough: For larger footballs → Use each biscuit whole (makes ~16 bombs). For mini footballs → Split biscuits in half (makes ~32 bite-size bombs).
- Flatten dough into circles. Add 1–2 tbsp filling (depending on size). Wrap and pinch to seal. Roll gently into a football shape.
- Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Mix butter, garlic powder, and smoked paprika; brush over bombs.
- Bake until golden brown: Larger bombs: 15–18 minutes | Mini bombs: 12–14 minutes
- Serve warm with dipping sauces of choice.
