Big projects like adding a second floor and an outdoor cooking space can get expensive quickly, so I did a lot of digging to find quality pieces that wouldn’t break the budget. Along the way, even our contractor was shocked by some of the things we ordered straight from Amazon!

Outdoor Fireplace

Yes, it’s a kit—and yes, we love it! There are several styles to choose from, and it works perfectly for our outdoor space. Cozy nights by the fire have quickly become one of our favorite parts of the renovation.

Gym Floors

We originally got a quote for $4,000 from a local place for rubber gym flooring. Instead, our contractor recommended these Amazon ones, and we couldn’t be happier. Durable, affordable, and perfect for our family workouts.

Sauna

Y’all know how I feel about this—life changing! I use it constantly, and it’s one of my favorite wellness additions to the house.

Pillows

We splurged on the big furniture pieces, but with three kids I’m not about to spend a fortune on pillows. These are great quality, budget-friendly, and ship fast (win-win).

Lighting

Lighting can be such a money pit, but Amazon has so many stylish, affordable options. I especially love the sconces I ordered for the bunks—they swivel, have a pull string, and don’t need individual switches.

Mirrors

These mirrors look just like a very expensive store I adore… but for a fraction of the price. No one would ever guess they’re Amazon finds.

Motion-Censored Stair Lights

Recommended by our electrician, and now one of my favorite practical purchases. They’re inexpensive, easy to install, and so helpful—especially with kids going up and down the stairs.

Rattan Chair

Pretty, wipeable, and perfect for the kids’ desk area. It looks stylish but can handle the everyday messes of family life.

Orchid

This might be one of my all-time favorite “look for less” pieces. It instantly elevates a space, and you don’t have to worry about keeping it alive.

Front Bench

Our contractor was shocked when he found out this bench was under $250. Sturdy, beautiful, and a perfect fit for our entryway.

Rock Climbing Wall

A fun, last-minute addition for the kids that has turned into a huge hit. Affordable, easy to install, and keeps them busy in the best way.

We’ve been so happy with these finds, and honestly, I love that Amazon has made it possible to mix budget-friendly pieces with the bigger investments we made during the renovation. It just proves that creating a beautiful, functional home doesn’t always have to come with a high price tag.
