Here’s What I Eat in a Day as a 35-year-old mom of three who’s 5’9” and moves her body 45–60 minutes every day 💪🏼
Lately, I’ve been experimenting with eating before I exercise (I work out at 5:30am 😅) after listening to an amazing podcast about circadian rhythm and hormone health—and I’ve noticed a big difference in how I feel!
🌞 Pre-Workout Fuel:
- ¾ cup plain Greek yogurt + berries + a drizzle of honey = 18g of protein to kickstart my day
- Hot tea on the side
💪🏼 Post-Workout Breakfast:
- High-protein bagel sandwich (with chicken sausage, egg, lettuce, tomato & a protein-rich Greek yogurt spread)
- Green smoothie packed with nutrients
💧 Hydration:
- At least a gallon of water daily – infused with seasonal fruit & veggies to make it more fun
🥗 Lunch:
- Asian Power Bowl – takes under 5 minutes to assemble and is great for meal prep!
🍫 Afternoon Snack:
- Homemade Heavenly Hunk Bar—a sweet treat with better ingredients and a boost of protein
🍽️ Dinner:
- Creamed corn orzo with air fryer chicken and broccoli
I swap half & half for Greek yogurt to lower saturated fat and up the protein – my kids LOVE this meal!
Eating whole, nutrient-dense foods throughout the day helps me feel my best. I don’t stress about what I “can’t” have – I focus on how my food makes me feel and how it fuels my body.
Everyone’s food journey is unique, but I hope this gives you some inspiration for adding variety and balance into your meals!
