Here’s What I Eat in a Day as a 35-year-old mom of three who’s 5’9” and moves her body 45–60 minutes every day 💪🏼
Lately, I’ve been experimenting with eating before I exercise (I work out at 5:30am 😅) after listening to an amazing podcast about circadian rhythm and hormone health—and I’ve noticed a big difference in how I feel!
Breakfast:
-
Eggs, tomatoes, sourdough english muffin
💧 Hydration:
- At least a gallon of water daily – infused with seasonal fruit & veggies to make it more fun
🥗 Lunch:
-
Salad with left over Pan-Seared Ranch Chicken
🍫 Afternoon Snack:
-
Banana Bread – Few things feel more comforting after a long school day than the aroma of banana bread fresh from the oven. This version is naturally sweetened, soft and fluffy on the inside, and finished with a crunchy cinnamon streusel topping that everyone will love. Serve it warm as an after-school snack, tuck slices into lunchboxes, or savor a piece with your afternoon coffee for the perfect pick-me-up.
🍽️ Dinner:
-
Beef & Broccoli – Back-to-school nights can get busy – and that’s when takeout sounds the most tempting! This recipe is the perfect swap. Make a little extra for dinner, then pack up the leftovers with brown rice for an easy lunchbox “Asian bowl” the next day. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and drizzle with sriracha for a fun, flavorful twist!
Eating whole, nutrient-dense foods throughout the day helps me feel my best. I don’t stress about what I “can’t” have – I focus on how my food makes me feel and how it fuels my body.
Everyone’s food journey is unique, but I hope this gives you some inspiration for adding variety and balance into your meals!
