There’s something about pairing simple meals with intentional movement that makes the whole day feel more grounded. Nothing has to be complicated, overly restrictive, or picture-perfect. Sometimes the best wellness days are the ones built around easy choices, nourishing meals, a little caffeine, a good walk or workout, and enough flexibility to actually enjoy your food.

This full day of food and movement was all about feeling energized, fueled, and balanced — with a little help from Fit with Coco for movement, a goal of 25K steps, and a lineup of easy meals and snacks that kept things simple from morning to night.

Morning Reset

I started the day with a detox tea, which always feels like a gentle way to ease into the morning. It’s warm, calming, and gives that little “fresh start” feeling before the day really begins.

After that, I made an Energize to sip before movement. This is one of my favorite ways to get in the right mindset before a workout, especially on days when I need a little extra push.

Movement through Fit with Coco

For movement, I love Fit with Coco. HERE is a free week with Fit with Coco, which is such a great option if you’re wanting to try something new without fully committing right away. I love having workouts that feel approachable but still effective — the kind that make you feel stronger without making movement feel like a punishment.

Along with the workout, I set a goal to aim for 25K steps throughout the day. It’s a big step goal, but breaking it up makes it feel so much more doable. A morning walk, a few laps around the house, an afternoon walk, and a little evening movement can add up quickly.

A free week of Fit with Coco is perfect if you’re trying to get back into a routine, reset your habits, or simply see what kind of workouts you actually enjoy.

Coffee + Breakfast

After movement, it was coffee time. I used my Ninja Coffee System, which makes it so easy to do a good cup at home without needing a coffee shop run.

For breakfast, I made a veggie egg scramble. This is one of those meals that feels hearty but still fresh. You can use whatever vegetables you have on hand, scramble them with eggs, and add a little cheese or seasoning if you want more flavor. It’s quick, filling, and gives you protein and veggies first thing in the day.

Lunch

For lunch, I kept it fun and easy with a snack plate. Honestly, snack plates are one of my favorite ways to make a meal feel effortless but still satisfying.

This one had:

Grilled chicken
Hummus
Pickles
Peppers
Snap peas
Cheese crackers
Cucumbers
Broccoli

It’s crunchy, colorful, protein-packed, and perfect for a busy day. I love meals like this because they don’t require much cooking, but they still give you variety and keep you full.

Afternoon Smoothie

Later in the day, I made a peanut butter banana smoothie. This one tastes like a treat but still has protein, healthy fats, and enough staying power to actually satisfy you.

Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

Ingredients:
1½ frozen bananas
1 scoop vanilla protein
2–3 tablespoons peanut butter
½ cup Greek yogurt
⅓–½ cup milk
Pinch of salt
Splash of vanilla

Blend everything together until smooth and creamy. Add a little more milk if you like it thinner, or keep it thicker for more of a smoothie-bowl texture.

This is such a good afternoon option when you want something sweet, cold, and filling.

Dinner: Chicken Sandwich

For dinner, I had a chicken sandwich with salad and fries. And this is your reminder that a full day of wellness does not have to mean every single meal looks like a “clean eating” checklist.

A balanced day can absolutely include fries. It can include convenience. It can include something satisfying and fun. The goal is not perfection – it’s creating a day that supports you and still feels like real life.

Evening Wind Down

I ended the night with evening tea and worked toward finishing out my step goal. Sometimes an evening walk is the easiest way to sneak in the last bit of movement, clear your mind, and transition out of the busy part of the day.

This full day of food and movement was simple, realistic, and actually enjoyable. A little tea, a little coffee, a workout, a 25K step goal, easy protein-packed meals, a smoothie that felt like dessert, and a dinner that still made room for fries.

That’s the kind of balance I love most — movement that feels good, food that fuels you, and enough flexibility to make it sustainable.
