My morning routine seriously impacts my mindset for the day! BUT- it wasn’t always like this! It took time to really get into a routine, and figure out what worked for our family! If you don’t have a routine and you want one- start with 5 or 10 minutes earlier. Don’t overwhelm yourself by trying to do it all in one day!
My morning routine changes with the seasons. I love working from home, but during the summer that means getting creative and working when I can. I swap my early morning workouts for work, and then exercise when the kids are awake. Knocking out big things before they are up for the day really helps ease my anxiety and feeling pressured to get things done.
Here are a few tips that help me get up and start on the right foot!
Set your alarm somewhere where you have to physically get out of bed to turn it off. I leave mine in our bathroom.
Have your favorite cozy blanket and devotional ready to go, and your favorite candle on standby!
When that alarm dings, I want you to countdown 5-4-3-2-1, and then get your booty up!
Make yourself a pitcher of infused water to help you get rehydrated

Like any habit, it takes time to establish. Your routine will look different than mine, but take what applies to you, and create your own. Start with 5 minutes earlier, set your alarm somewhere in the room you have to get up to turn it off, and prepare for the morning the night before.
