June always feels like the official kickoff to summer in our home – longer days, slower evenings, and lots of time spent around the table with family and friends. This month, I found myself reaching for fresh, bright flavors, easy dinners, and fun treats that felt just right for the season. Whether you’re looking for something sweet to bake on a lazy weekend morning or a simple, crowd-pleasing dish for your next cookout, here’s a look at everything I made and loved in June. I hope you find something new to try!
A soft, fragrant twist on classic banana bread. The subtle floral note from the lavender makes this loaf feel extra special — perfect for breakfast with coffee or an afternoon snack.
Light, refreshing, and basically summer in a bowl. This salad pairs juicy watermelon with crisp cucumber, mint, and a sprinkle of feta for that sweet-salty combo we can’t get enough of.
The ultimate cozy dinner, even on a summer night. This hearty ragu is rich, savory, and comes together surprisingly fast — amazing over pasta or creamy polenta.
These bowls are a tropical vacation on your plate. Think teriyaki chicken (or tofu!), rice, fresh pineapple, and a drizzle of spicy mayo. Everyone in our house built their own and loved it.
This was my go-to sip this month — light, floral, and just sweet enough. The combo of apricot, lemon, and lavender over ice is so refreshing, you’ll want to make a pitcher!
I keep coming back to this one! Sweet strawberries, tender greens, candied pecans, and a tangy poppyseed dressing — it’s simple, beautiful, and always a hit.
A weekend breakfast hero. You can make it ahead, pop it in the oven in the morning, and enjoy golden, custardy French toast with almost no effort. Bonus: the house smells amazing.
My go-to party dip this month! It’s creamy, cheesy, with just the right kick of heat — and totally addicting with tortilla chips. Perfect for BBQs, potlucks, or a movie night snack.
